Send Flowers to Borås, Sweden

Borås is a textile and fashion city in Västergötland, about 60 kilometres east of Gothenburg. Its mills once clothed the country, and today the Textile Fashion Center and a design-focused university carry on the tradition. The city has a large population with roots abroad, and relatives in other countries send flowers here for mothers, newborns and anniversaries.

Mother's Day in Sweden falls on the last Sunday in May, and Borås florists are busiest that weekend. Midsommar in June is celebrated with flower crowns, and Alla helgons dag at the start of November is when families light candles and lay wreaths at the graves. Swedish funerals take place a few weeks after a death, with flowers and a ribbon sent to the chapel.

Orders placed before midnight local time are delivered the next day. The florist calls the recipient before leaving, so please provide a phone number, and rearranges if nobody is home. Roses, lilies, tulips in season, mixed bouquets and potted plants are standard in Borås, and the printed card is free.
