Send Flowers to Jönköping, Sweden

Jönköping lies at the southern tip of Lake Vättern in Småland, roughly halfway between Stockholm and Malmö. Once known for its match factories, it is now a university town with the historic village of Gränna a short drive up the shore. Relatives abroad send flowers for a parent's birthday, a baby's arrival or a difficult week.

The Swedish Mother's Day on the last Sunday of May is the busiest date for Jönköping florists. Fars dag, Father's Day, follows on the second Sunday in November, and Alla helgons dag in early November is when families bring candles and wreaths to the graves. For a bereavement, flowers with a ribbon are sent to the church or chapel, often weeks after the death.

Order before midnight Swedish time for next-day delivery. The florist calls the recipient first, so please include a phone number, and reschedules if nobody is home. Roses, lilies, tulips, mixed bouquets and plants are readily available; around the lake villages the florist may propose a close equivalent if a flower is not stocked.
