Send Flowers to Örebro, Sweden

Örebro is a university city in the heart of Sweden, between Stockholm and Gothenburg, built around a moated medieval castle on the Svartån river. Örebro natives abroad send flowers to parents in Adolfsberg and Rynninge, friends in Sörbyängen and Mellringe, and family in Brickebacken.

Mother's Day in Sweden is the last Sunday of May. Studenten in early June brings bouquets for school-leavers, Alla hjärtans dag is 14 February, and name days are marked in Swedish calendars. Örebro University's graduations add bouquets in spring and autumn, and Midsummer is celebrated with flower crowns. On Alla helgons dag in early November, families light candles and lay flowers at Norra and Södra kyrkogården, and funeral flowers are usually arranged through the begravningsbyrå or sent to the chapel. For get-well deliveries, Universitetssjukhuset Örebro is the main hospital; check whether the ward accepts flowers.

Örebro is one hour ahead of the UK and six ahead of the US East Coast. Order before midnight Swedish time and the bouquet is delivered the following day. Please give the recipient's phone number so the florist can call ahead and, if nobody is home, arrange a second attempt. Roses, lilies, tulips in season, mixed bouquets and potted plants are available year round.
